Service is super quick and nice!! The seafood is always fried fresh and has amazing flavor. The jumbo prawns, Basa, calamari, hush puppies, and fried okra are amazing. The only thing I wish is they fried the fish a little bit harder, because I like my fish crunchy. But that does not take away from Trans at all !!! 10 out of 10 would definitely recommend. “ Calling all seafood lovers, if u want fresh, DEEP FRIED seafood, this is the place to go. Very reasonable pricing , you can buy fresh seafood to take home or you can have them deep fried the piece you choose for you, whatever your heart desires. Everything on ice was fresh and large, the deep fry batter had a lovely crunch, wasn't too thick and didn't fall apart, so I would have to say it was prefect for me. They also had shelves of sauces, seasoning, batter, mixes, etc you can buy. When I head back through the ValleyJoe... I will be stopping here once more. ”

“ This place is unique. We came in after watching a instagrammer post his food while eating on the hood of his car. I saw that he ordered seafood at this market. And then they battered it and fried it. This concept is fun and it makes me feel closer to the seafood. You know? Like this is what seafood looks like before it's cooked. Between my bf and me, we just kept ordering. We bought one pound of each of these things Basa, catfish, soft crab shell, crab legs, and fried ochra. I definitely think I won't oder crab legs again. It was too tough to eat and the meat is I think we ordered enough for 6 people. So we had about 4 huge servings left, which we brought home. We got everything in a tray, so it stayed hot while we ate it in the car. It was amazing. If you've never eaten hot and fresh fried seafood, you have to try it. It burned our fingers lol. ”

“ Haven't been to this place in a minute so here I am. I used to go to this place a lot when I was younger. For those who don't know, this is an iconic spot in V-town. Iykyk. The service here is pretty good. The workers are really cool and they break down the system for you if you're new to the joint. I ordered 1/2 of basa, 1/2 of jumbo freshwater prawns, 1/2 of Dungeness crab clusters, 1/2 of baby octopus, and fried okra. I also bought a crystal hot sauce on the side. Lemme tell yall, the food here is bussin. What I like about how they fry the food here to is that it's not greasy. Also paired with the hot sauce, it's a match made in heaven. This place is basically a seafood market where you buy by 1/2 lb and up. You can also have them fry it for you which of course costs a little extra. You can also buy sauces and other seasonings here. Quick warning before you pull up, the parking situation here is pretty bad so be prepared. Try it out if you like. :) ”

“ "Anything fried!! (Only things sold at the market)" I found this place after seeing it on Instagram!! As someone who loves fried seafood, I had no choice but to visit as soon as I discovered it!! Although it's a bit far to go all the way from San Francisco to Vallejo just for a meal, I was determined to try it, so I happily set out with a friend on a nice, sunny lunch trip! There were so many types of seafood to choose from (from oysters to king crab leg ), and there were also plenty of drinks and sauces to enjoy with the fried items! The only downside was that there was nowhere to sit and eat. I thought it was a restaurant, but in the end, we had to eat in the parking lot, sitting on the trunk of the car. ”

“ Craving for some good ass fried food? Walk in, choose what you want to be fried- seafood varieties and chicken wings. When I visited the first time, I was overwhelmed with what to get but chose basa fish, crab legs and chicken wings. I waited 30 minutes and it was close to Thanksgiving so it was buzzing in there. While you wait, there's a bunch of spices to choose from. It's constantly busy and moving, but the people behind the counter are helpful. As I drove home, I couldn't wait to dig in, so I chose the basa to eat and dipped it in the Kim's Crack Sauce that i bought from there and I was dancing in my car, in food heaven!!! ”

“ You'll be in the hood of V-town if you roll through here. Stuff I observed that laid as evidence on where you are at. 1) tasty whiffs of green bud right on the sidewalk/storefront; 2) super tight parking lot that was chaotic as heck; 3) as I parked on the street I saw a truck push another car (inoperable) bumper to bumper through an intersection. LMAO Place is basically a seafood market where you can also get many things for a Soulfood pantry like beans of all types, etouffee and gumbo spice packs, hot sauces galore etc. I was digging it! The seafood cold case is actually pretty impressive tho not laid out to be pretty. If you're used to Whole Food's cold case, you'll be in for rude awakening. Lol. Things are just randomly laid out in piles, some have pricing, some don't. They got a crazy selection of at least 8 fishes, you can pick bones or no bones, lots of shellfish with many different types of skrimps (remember you in da hood), cleaned crabs and even lobster tails and crawfish. They also have chicken parts. Now what makes this place super unique and really draws a crowd is that they'll fry anything that they carry...for a slight upcharge, maybe $2-$3 per item you choose. And when they fry something it'll be coated in a nicely seasoned cornmeal/flour coating. It is light and will impart just a slight crunch, no big crunch that'll ring in your head. Things tried: Perch ($7ish/lb.4*) I wanted to try a fish that you normally don't run into, so I went away from snapper, catfish and salmon, even though they all sounded good. I think I asked for 2-3 pieces but they gave me 2 pounds which is a significant amount. But they cut the small fillets (with skin) in half so when fried you got these nice sized nuggets that curled a bit. I grew up eating perch from fishing off of the Pacifica Pier so it was a nice throwback. I love the texture as it is nice and mild and has a firm yet flaky flesh texture. Fresh Water Prawns ($20ish/lb/4*) These were nice and large and about 2 nice sized bites per prawn. I think they fried these a tad too long as it was getting borderline overcooked and chewy, no significant 'pop'. They were still fine but glad I didn't get anything too expensive like lobster or crab. I think I spent a little over $35ish for the fried seafoods and I had enough food to feed 4-5 people with other sides. So I felt the value was there, which also explains the omnipresent lines here. I also got a cluster of dungeness crab and a small jar of oysters still cold to take home to make a gumbo. Both were good quality except the oysters were some of the largest I've ever seen. I had to cut em, as I'm used to smaller/medium oysters. I think this town is lucky to have such a nice resource. I'd much rather delve in this hood and get something fried than any Asian market that does the same service, but they don't season/coat anything. Soultrans I'll walk through a cloud of blunt smoke for ya anyday. ”

“ I had the best experience of my time. I came all the way from San Jose and it was worth it all! The basa is definitely a staple. But the fried salmon tasted like a desert with my rice. My god those crab legs tasted so buttery. The garlic butter struggled to stay on something so tender, sweet, and velvety. Spent: 350$ for 3 days of fried seafood for 3 hungry stoners. ”
